Armenian embassy likely to be opened in Mexico City

During his working visit to New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Foreign Ministers of Mexico, Cuba, and Guatemala on September 28, reported "Armenpress."
The meeting of E. Nalbandian and Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa was dedicated to the development of bilateral links. The two ministers discussed in detail the joint steps aimed at developing cooperation, such as strengthening legal and contractual grounds, fostering political dialog, and developing inter-parliamentary links. The Armenian foreign minister informed his Mexican counterpart about Armenia's plans to establish an embassy in Mexico next year. E. Nalbandyan also spoke about the efforts of Armenia and the international community to solve the Nagorno Karabagh problem.
At the meeting with Guatemalan Foreign Minister Harold Caballeros, the interlocutors discussed bilateral willingness to develop relations, touching upon the establishment of cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries and the opportunities of cooperation in cultural and educational areas. Harol Caballeros invited Edward Nalbandian to visit Guatemala in order to continue the dialog.
Steps to boost bilateral relations were discussed at the meeting with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez. The sides also exchanged views on regional problems.
