"Father" Aliyev Goes Back from Mexico to Baku

Istanbul-based Armenian newspaper "Marmara" reports that the statue of former Azerbaijani president Heydar Aliyev, which had been inaugurated in August 2012 in one of the central spots of Mexico City and had triggered a wave of protests in the country, was disassembled in last January and now it's being moved to the embassy of Azerbaijan to be sent to Baku.
The government of Azerbaijan had spent 5 million dollars to install the statue of Aliyev in Mexico by taking charge of the renovation of two parks in the Mexican capital. However, after the inauguration, the locals had protested and demanded that the statue was dislodged from the central park, where national heroes are honored, while Aliyev was known as the dictator of a dictatorial country thousands of miles away.
A special committee formed to solve the issue had proposed to dismount the statue and to send it to storage.
Now it appears that the municipality of Mexico City has decided to "get rid" of Heydar Aliyev as a matter of fact.
